EXEGOG Gallery
We are delighted to present here some photos of our group activities, members' layouts, and the rolling stock that they run. The photos are in no particular order, but are intended to give you a flavour of what we get up to.
The first group are entries in the 2025 modelling competition.

Above: Paul Holwill in typical chilly mode won the 2025 gong for dioramas. Below: Roy Smeeth who has just had a hip replacement brought along his latest superb building, the station building at Moretonhampstead. He quite rightly won not only the Lineside Structure award but also the Peter Goodwin Memorial Trophy for best model in show. This fine model features full structural details underneath that overall roof.

Dave Taylor receives the award for coaching stock from club chairman Ken Banks, for a rake of three scratch-built NG coaches for his Marshwood Vale line. Competition organiser Byron Williams (R) looks on suitably bemused.

Graham Tombs presented this Midland goods shed, with internal fittings and lighting.

Dave Harding's GWR 5-wheel Siphon

A beautifully detailed MR passenger brake van by, we think, Keith Cleeve.

Martyn Sanders spent his working life marketing one of the major RTR producers models; he's no slouch himself when it comes to creating atmosphere.
Lovely narrow-gauge portrayal by Dave Taylor
One of our more recent members Charlie (L) gives his latest acquisition a run, closely monitored by Martyn

Roy Smeeth, who treks to meetings from Holsworthy, built this super model of Moretonhampstead broad-gauge goods shed, winning the Committee Shield in the 2024 modelling competition.

Tea up - provided for many years at every meeting by stalwart member Trevor Tew. Now Paul Holwill's lovely wife Anna has taken on the apron.

Trevor Gibson, the originator of Wedmore, in front of the layout at Guildex 2023

The test track set up at Whimple; takes about ten minutes to set up or pack away, with lots of play value. Standard 32mm, 16.5mm and 14mm NG, Dc/DCC.

Craig Tiley from PECO snapping Wedmore at the 2023 show in Whimple. Two Keiths behind the layout looking completely befuddled by the activity!
Early stages of tracklaying on the test track, about 12 years ago. Sadly several faces no longer with us.
